Mr. Beard is a principal attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation. He represents clients pro bono in challenges to government violations of property rights and individual freedom. He is lead counsel in PLF's lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the so-called Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"), currently pending in the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.
