Description:
Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, ARI has made the decision to offer a second AynRandCon–LIVE in place of the one-day conference that we had scheduled to take place next month in Chicago. We will present the major portion of the conference online, and everyone is welcome to attend for free!
The live talks and Q&As will be on a timely theme: “Navigating Life and Times of Crisis.” We’ll discuss how to think philosophically about conducting one’s life, whether under normal circumstances or amid crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. You’ll come away with new perspectives on the current crisis and gain wisdom for the challenges of everyday life.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the response to it at all levels of government have disrupted all of our lives. As we begin to contemplate the challenge of reopening and rebuilding the economy in the face on the ongoing spread of the virus, it’s critical to employ the right philosophical framework for thinking about these issues, and to not be misled by false alternatives, wishful thinking, tribalistic finger-pointing and other forms of distorted thinking.
