A Science for Your Soul: Psychology and Ethics

The disciplines of Psychology and Ethics are both substantially concerned with man’s beliefs, choices and actions, and it would seem that they complement each other well: Psychology generally studies and evaluates mental well-being, and Ethics offers guides to living well that promote mental well-being.

However, the debates in psychology and ethics might induce several questions. For instance, if our brains are wired a certain way and we are susceptible to instincts and urges, how can we exert choice when faced with moral decisions? Can psychology verify which moral code can make us happier, or is it morally neutral?
