American Business Heroes

Edwin A. Locke

Presented at: IRM 1994

Date: Jul 16, 1994

This course describes the character and achievement of several American business heroes–that is, men whose productive genius created great wealth. Expanding on a previous talk about the general traits of business heroes, Dr. Locke presents here an intensive treatment of the virtues of specific businessmen. Among them are John D. Rockefeller, creator of the Standard Oil Company, and Cornelius Vanderbilt, founder of the New York Central Railroad.
