Aristotle: An Appreciation—and a Guide for the Perplexed

Robert Mayhew

Presented at: OCON 2016

Date: Jul 01, 2016

In this talk, part of a celebration of the 2400th anniversary of Aristotle’s birth, Dr. Mayhew will highlight why Ayn Rand held Aristotle in such high esteem—she considered him the greatest philosopher in history and the only one to whom she owed a debt—and then guide the interested layman to the gems in Aristotle’s corpus, which can often be quite difficult to find. (This is a revised and updated version of a talk given by Dr. Mayhew in 1999.)
