This selection, from 1927 to 1981, offers illuminating insights into Ayn Rand's life as philosopher, novelist, political activist, Hollywood screenwriter, and family member. The correspondence was directed to a wide range of people, including fans, Hollywood celebrities, business leaders, and philosophers. In addition to the letters written by Miss Rand, this lecture- unlike the book-includes letters to her from such notables as Ludwig von Mises, Cecil B. deMille, H. L.
