Essay: The Objectivist Ethics

Razi Ginzberg

Presented at: London Ayn Rand Meetup ARC-UK

Date: Nov 03, 2021

Ayn Rand’s essay The Objectivist Ethics is perhaps the most comprehensive presentation of the fundamentals of her philosophy in a single essay. It covers the cardinal virtues identified by Rand, the cardinal values from which they're derived, the standard that is the basis of all value, and the reason why that is the standard.

Rand called Objectivism “a philosophy for living on earth.” We will delve into Rand’s theory in depth, and examine the practical application of it.

Please read The Objectivist Ethics ahead of this Meetup. The essay is available for free here (also in audio): https://courses.aynrand.org/works/the-objectivist-ethics/
