Enabled by the Industrial Revolution, the 20th century saw an explosion of esthetic innovation and theory, exploring new forms, modes and mediums of artistic expression. In this hands-on symposium, we examine some of these new concepts in theater. The session’s focus serves as an introduction to and an examination of the development of Epic Theater, which will be illustrated through its tight coupling with magic performance art.
