Principles of Parenting

Susan Crawford

Presented at: SRB 2002 Vienna

Date: Jun 29, 2002

The purpose of this course is twofold. First, it is to show how a set of principles can guide parents in making wiser decisions in raising children. These principles can help parents by giving them a sound basis for their choices as they help their children to become self-confident, self-reliant, and happy. Secondly, it is to show how the principles develop from the basic principle that a child's mind is his greatest value. A child needs to develop his mind so that he can think rationally and act to benefit his life. This basic principle can be the guide for other principles that follow. Parents can help their children to gain knowledge and to use this knowledge effectively, and to appreciate the value of their own minds.
