This workshop will examine some historical problems in the philosophy of science and will discuss solutions to problems arising from Bacon and Mills' empiricism, Popper's floating abstractions, Kuhn's paradigms, Positivism, and Scientific Realists.  In conclusion, the genuine problems of science will be identified.
