All over the world, socialism is in collapse. Yet socialist ideas continue to dominate the agenda for political change in the United States, as witness the current proposals for socialized medicine and increasing the taxes of the ''rich." This lecture will show how the medical crisis is the result of collectivist government interference and how the establishment of economic freedom in healthcare would solve the crisis. It will also show why the rational self-interest of the individual wage earner lies with reducing corporate income taxes and taxes on the ''rich" ahead of reducing taxes on wage earners, and how collectivist habits of thought stand in the way of understanding this fact.
