Movies are the most complex of all art forms. They involve many esthetic elements: story telling, acting, music, cinematography, etc. As a result of this complexity, they are often difficult to analyze, both in regard to their esthetic value and their philosophical value. This workshop applied Dr. Peikoff's method for analyzing plays to the analysis of movies. To illustrate this method, the workshop will consist of an analysis and discussion of the movie This Land is Mine. Attendees are urged to watch the movie on Friday night in order to participate more fully in this discussion.
