The Black Hole of Contemporary Philosophy
Date:
Sep 26, 1992
This talk provides an essentialized overview of the two major schools dominating cootemporary philosophy: the Analysts and the Continentals. It shows how both schools are dominated by irrationalism, have severed philosophy from its role as a guide to life, and seek to destroy the very concepts of objectivity and virtue. Under the influence of these schools, contemporary philosophy is shown to be the source of the cultural evils of political correctness and multiculturalism now so influential in colleges and universities. The lecture concludes with an Objectivist answer to contemporary philosophy.
