In this panel, Drs. Shoshana Milgram, Robert Mayhew, and Onkar Ghate will discuss the new chapters they have written for the forthcoming expanded edition of Essays on Ayn Rand’s “We the Living,” edited by Robert Mayhew. Shoshana Milgram’s new work discusses Ayn Rand’s philosophy studies at Petrograd State University and the references she made, in We the Living and her later writings, to her courses and textbooks; Onkar Ghate writes about Leo Kovalensky; and Robert Mayhew examines the role of the concept sacred in the novel. A Q&A; period will follow, allowing a wider discussion about this, Ayn Rand’s first novel.
