Conservatives cheered when the Supreme Court protected corporations’ free speech in Citizens United, but jeer when social media companies express their political preferences. Liberals gleefully criticize Christians and cry “hate speech” when anyone criticizes Islam. This talk will look at how tribalism colors our view of free speech today.
