America is hated by millions of people throughout the world--as is particularly evident in the Middle East. That seething hatred is often explained by reference to America's support of Israel, or the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia, or more generally on America's (and the West's) past colonialism. But all of these explanations are false. This talk will show that the real cause lies in the fundamental ideas espoused by the people and the intellectuals of the Middle East. What we face is a cultural war, a struggle between diametrically opposed ideologies.
