Adam J. Smith has an MA in Philosophy (Birkbeck College, London), an MSc in Ecology (University of Aberdeen), and a BSc in Biology (University of Leicester), and a PGCE (Brunel University). He has been a student of Objectivism for some 30 years, completing the Undergraduate Philosophy of Ayn Rand course (UPAR) with the Objectivist Graduate Center (Now the OAC) back in 2000. Having taught in Japan, worked in the pharmaceutical industry in roles from lab research to business development, and teaching sciences at Bradfield College in Berkshire, he is now self-employed in teaching, writing and consultancy. He founded the British Objectivist Society to facilitate communication between people with a strong academic interest in Ayn Rand’s philosophy. He recently worked with the Ayn Rand Institute in promoting Ayn Rand in the UK A-Level PoliticsÂ
