Andrew has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois, and he has done both graduate and postdoctoral research in solid state physics and materials science. He has worked in the semiconductor and solar industries, and he currently works in research and development for the petroleum industry. In his spare time, he plays with flashlights and carnivorous plants.
