Mrs. Ghate was Manager of Academic Programs and In-House Counsel at the Ayn Rand Institute where she also serves as a corporate officer. She was also general manager and corporate secretary for ARI Canada, a Canadian charitable organization. Prior to joining ARI, she practiced law with a focus on insurance defense litigation at a major Canadian insurance company and in private practice.
